The ATOS Trio, founded in Berlin in 2003 by Annette von Hehn (violin), Stefan Heinemeyer (cello), and Thomas Hoppe (piano), has established itself as one of the finest piano trios performing today.
After intensive studies with Ilan Gronich, Menahem Pressler, and the Alban Berg Quartet, the trio won the German Music Competition, the Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson International Trio Award, and the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition. These successes were soon followed by the BBC New Generation Artists Award and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award.
Since then, the ATOS Trio has performed in many of the world’s most prestigious concert halls — including Carnegie Hall in New York, the Berlin Philharmonie, Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Wigmore Hall in London, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, to name just a few — with a repertoire encompassing both the core masterpieces and many lesser-known gems.
With compelling interpretations and unbridled enthusiasm, total commitment, and a consistently refreshing authenticity, the ATOS Trio delights audiences in concert halls around the world.
